We believe in delivering insurance as a vehicle for personal and social empowerment!

We are creating a new insurance industry model, one that focuses on the customer in its entirety and places an emphasis on the customer’s lifestyle and prioritising the enhancement of their goals. We have made it our mission to innovate and push the boundaries of insurance industry by helping it to transition from a mere model of indemnification to one of prevention and loss control.

WeSavvy’s objective is to encourage Members to increase their activity levels and improve their overall health and wellbeing by tracking their daily/weekly activity on the WeSavvy App, rewarding Members with cash points and benefits on their insurance premium.

Together Members can transform how insurance products work for them and can also considerably improve their health and wellbeing. WeSavvy’s mHealth movement aims to give back the power to those who want to make a positive change.

Our Story

Having worked in the insurance industry, WeSavvy’s Founders were struck by the lack of meaningful engagement Insurers actually had with their customers and, more specifically, the lack of personalized products and service offered to customers. Healthy, active and nutritiously-conscious individuals were paying the same premium as those for whom the Insurer had little or no information. With more and more friends leading increasingly healthier lifestyles, it was a pity that this information couldn’t be shared with Insurers in a more structured manner and ultimately leveraged upon, at the time of renewal.

WeSavvy’s Founders also noted how a constant rise in premium had priced their peers out of the market. With their healthy and active friends priced out of the market, how were those suffering from serious illness going to be funded and was it fair to increase their premium, at such a stressful time? They noted the house of cards beginning to crumble and identified a need to fix the fundamentals within the system.

Instead of seeing the solution as paying out claims, they set out on a mission to transform the insurance industry model with a customer-centred focus, one which places emphasis on illness prevention and control. They knew that by incentivising better, more insurance-friendly behavior, it will benefit the customers, the insurers and our community as a whole.

With WeSavvy we deliver Insurance Products that serve not only the customer, but also all the community, promoting a positive change, which does not represent what the insurance industry is today, but what a customer centric insurance industry should be tomorrow!
