Thanks for joining us on our Fireside chat. We’ve noticed that you are a prominent Influencer within the Wellbeing, Mindfulness and Motivation space.
We always have a quick peek at our interviewee’s horoscope beforehand we kick off our chat to see what the stars have in store for them 😊.
So you are a Capricorn…that’s two in a row now for Capricorns! Maybe there is a trend to be spotted here between Capricorns and prominent Influencers in Ireland. As you might have already sensed, this is the year of the Dog according to the Chinese Horoscope.
From our look at common traits we found between the two horoscopes are: Determined, Loyal and Responsible. So with no further delays let’s do this!
Jack: My childhood dream was to be a Special Agent or Harry Potter! I used to read adventure series and get totally engrossed, and would then go and act it out with my friends. :P
Interviewer: Wow I wasn’t expecting that – I think a will address you from now on as “Special Agent Jack” SA Jack! 😊
Jack: There are three: The War of Art - Stephen Pressfield, The Green Platform - Declan Coyle, Fear - Ticht Nath Hahn.
Interviewer: They are all definitely great books. I was guessing you were going to throw a thriller in there.
Jack: My Dad said it to me "Jack, Impress Yourself" and it blew my mind. Your the only one to measure yourself against.
Interviewer: Wise man your Dad Jack, it is a great advice for the path of self-actualisation.
Jack: My advice would be not to be afraid to set big goals, but to break them down to simple habits that allow you to make small, consistent steps in the right direction.
Interviewer: I like it go big or go home but having a methodology around it is vital. We strongly believe that accumulated small actions lead to big outcomes.
Jack: The three main techniques that I use to motivate myself are (i) the Impress Yourself concept; (ii) to undertake daily rituals/habits that tell me I'm moving in the right direction and (iii) to surround myself with great people.
Interviewer: You are on to a winner there, it has to begin with an inner journey of which the people around you will play a vital part.
Jack: I would say (i) Emotional Intelligence/Self Awareness (ii) Self Assuredness and (iii) Fortitude.
Interviewer: That is quite interesting a lot of people work quite hard on their IQ but not as much on their EQ, it’s interesting that you put it as your first strength, by now we would have guessed the other two. 😉
Jack: Self Compassion is one, writing more is another and I would like to meditate more consistently.
Interviewer: Yes, putting that knowledge into writing and sharing it will be highly welcomed by us and your followers. In regards to meditating constantly that’s a hard one but we doubt there is anything you can’t handle.
Jack: Mine would be to be well - mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually and to better balance ambition and self-compassion!
Interviewer: It has been a pleasure to chat with you Jack. Thanks for taking the time for the Fireside Chat and sharing your knowledge and experience with the WeSavvy Community. We’re looking forward to keeping up with your writings and posts!
